Fashion Forward: Stella Jean

Stella Jean has made quite the entrance on the international fashion scene. A British designer, her unexpected pairings of bright colors with contrasting prints are a visual orgasm for those of us seeking maximum ocular sensory stimulation. She has quickly garnered a following for her unique approach to fashion. If I could pick one designer to stock my wardrobe, it would definitely be S.J. Her designs are full of life and invigorating; they expand boundaries, and that is exactly how I want to live my life. Below is one of my first attempts at styling inspired by Stella Jean.

Never Too Many Black Heels: Platinum

A woman can never have too many black heels. They are the staple of any wardrobe and extremely versatile. Whether it's a thousand-dollar studded pair (Saint Laurent, upper right corner) or they're dripping in crystals (Jimmy Choo, bottom center), the black heel is ripe to be paired with dresses, skirts, or jeans--just be sure to choose styles that complement each other. Below is a selection of nine of my favorite black heels (over $1,000) that each has a unique feel and lots of character and can still be worn with a variety of looks. Also, take note of designer Paul Andrew, a name that's possibly not as familiar as some in this collection, but clearly worth knowing.
